Design Process

In order to ensure accessibility, learner engagement, and academic rigor in my course design I completed the Independent Applying of the QM Rubric (APPQMR) certification course in 2019 and Peer Reviewer Certification (PRD) in 2020. All of my online courses are developed and designed using the criteria from the Quality Matters Rubric.

Storyboard

A detailed storyboard is then constructed outlining the content and layout of instructional materials designed to help learners construct meaning of the content and master the objectives for that module. Media and built in assessment items are mapped out and a written audio script is included that will be used to create captions for Closed Captioning.

Captivate eLearning Presentation

Using the content from the storyboard, an interactive presentation is designed through Adobe Captivate eLearning software, Videos and interactive media are used to help learners engage with the content and formative assessment items are included to help learners monitor their own learning and understanding.
